Josef Duchan: Sensitive Bodies of (My) Mind

art exhibition 02 February, 2017 - 23 February, 2017

[BBLA Gallery]

The exhibition Sensitive Bodies of (My) Mind presents seventeen abstract paintings by the Czech visual artist Josef Duchan. The art historian Jana Sevcikova wrote of Duchan’s work, “Paintings of Josef Duchan open for us his conception of visual world which we can follow from his radical fragmentation to the smallest elements to their incorporation into the super complex unity.” This is a first presentation of Josef Duchan’s work in the USA.

Josef Duchan graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. In his work he uses combined techniques including printmaking, drawing and painting. He has exhibited in Europe and his works are in private collections around the world.
