Spring Musicale

The tradition of Sunday afternoon musicales continues as the spirited ArtsAhimsa ensemble returns for its ninth season with chamber works from the musical circle of Antonin Dvorak. Organized by violinist Laura Jean Goldberg, the performance features seasoned musicians as well as young talents from leading music conservatories. The richly varied repertoire—ranging from solo instrument to quintet—will include Dvorak’s Humoresquefor violin and piano as well as a Slavonic Dancefor piano trio and a string quartet by Dvorak, plus the Piano Quintet in F Minor, Op. 34, composed by Dvorak’s mentor, Johannes Brahms. Explore musical themes and variations originating from New York, Prague, and Vienna.
