Spring Musicaleconcert 07 May, 2017 - 3:00 PM
[Bohemian National Hall]
The tradition of Sunday afternoon musicales in the late 19th century continues as the spirited ArtsAhimsa ensemble returns for its seventh season with chamber works and song from the repertoire of Antonin Dvorak, his contemporaries, and students. Featuring outstanding seasoned musicians along with talented young students drawn from New York’s leading music conservatories and performing groups, this year’s program includes Dvorak’s String Sextet in A, a guitar transcription of Brahms’ Intermezzo Opus 117, and Eric Ewazen’s Flute Sonata arranged for violin and piano, among others.
